“Make Some Noise,” the first single from the Beastie Boys’ long-awaited new album Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 2. “Make Some Noise” is out now and also as a (wait for it) a seven-inch vinyl record. The Beastie Boys have been around for two decades now and still sound fresh. We do wish that they could mix their records like their debut “Licensed to Ill” though. On that record you could understand every word they said – and everyone knew their lyrics by heart and the mix was very clear. Since departing ways from Def Jam and producer Rick Rubin (after album one) it’s been very hard to hear what they’re saying. Their material is always great, but it really is in the final mix. We wish Beasties and Rick could do one more album together – it would be HUGE!
